Alexis Stilley, Personal Banker | SouthStar Bank Harker Heights

Alexis Stilley joins SouthStar Bank as a Personal Banker at the Harker Heights Branch. A Student at Central Texas Community College, Alexis is currently working to earn her Business Management degree. In her role, Alexis looks forward to meeting and building lasting relationships with her customers. In her free time, Alexis enjoys traveling, coaching little league soccer, and watching makeup and beauty tutorials on YouTube.

Employee Spotlight- Pamela Barbeau

Pamela Barbeau, Assistant Vice President of Lending/Commercial Loan Closer, SBA Specialist | SouthStar Bank Georgetown

Pamela Barbeau works at the Georgetown Branch as Assistant Vice President of Lending, Commercial Loan Closer, and SBA Specialist. She recently moved to the Georgetown location after starting at the Leander branch three years prior. For Pam, the highlight of her career has been mentoring, inspiring, and supporting others within their financial careers. As an SBA specialist, Pam works directly with small business owners in assisting with a variety of financial needs. She loves watching businesses succeed and achieve their goals.

Pam served as President of the Austin chapter of Financial Women in Texas in 2017-2018. During her time as President, the Austin chapter achieved its highest membership and raised the most money at the Austin conference, all while empowering each women within the financial industry. In her free time, Pam also volunteers with the Georgetown Police Department.

Some of Pam’s favorite past times include spending time with her granddaughter, reading, and vacationing with her family. An interesting fact about Pam is that the first concert she ever attended was to see Elvis Presley.

Congratulations Kimberly Watson! New Branch Executive

Congratulations to Kimberly Watson on her promotion to Branch Executive!

Kimberly Watson was promoted to Branch Executive at our Southwest Austin Branch. She joined SouthStar Bank in 2013 with over 20 years of experience in the industry. Throughout her time with SouthStar Bank, Kimberly has played an instrumental role in expanding SouthStar Bank’s mortgage department. Kimberly specializes in portfolio loans, real estate, and construction financing. She also handles refinance and traditional mortgage lending.

Kimberly prides herself on her ability to build long-term relationships with her customers. “I love helping borrowers buy their 1^st home and then later helping them build their dream home,” she says. She is able to provide comfort with her expertise and personable skills ,which allows her to guide customers through every step of the loan process.

Outside of work, Kimberly enjoys spending time with her husband, Van, and their daughter Raece.

Sonia Keller, Personal Banker | SouthStar Bank Shiner

The SouthStar Bank team is growing with the addition of Sonia Keller at our Shiner branch. Sonia joins the team as a Personal Banker and is excited to bring her knowledge of banking and excellent customer service to her new customers. Outside of work, Sonia loves to spend quality time with her family and their dog, Avalanche. When she does get to travel, Sonia enjoys going to Harlingen, where all of her family resides. A unique fact about Sonia is that she is a great singer. She has even performed the National Anthem for many different events.

Employee Spotlight- Nolan Johnson

Nolan Johnson, Personal Banker | SouthStar Bank Leander

A member of the SouthStar Bank team, Nolan Johnson works at the Leander Branch as a Personal Banker. He recently joined the Leander team after two years at our Harker Heights location. Nolan’s two favorite things about the banking industry are getting to build long-lasting relationships with his customers and using his problem-solving skills. “I love working together with someone to help them reach their financial goals. Being able to send my customers away with a smile and a feeling of being helped is a great feeling,” says Johnson

Nolan loves supporting his community. He is currently a member of the City of Nolanville Planning & Zoning Committee, the Nolanville Zoning Board of Adjustments, and the Harker Heights Rotary Club.

Outside of the bank, Nolan enjoys fishing, playing music, and spending time with his two kids. A secret most people don’t know about Nolan is that throughout high school and college, he played guitar and sang in a rock band that toured in the sunbelt states.

Lauren Oglesby, Personal Banker | SouthStar Bank Franklin

Lauren Oglesby joins SouthStar Bank as a Personal Banker at our Franklin location. She is eager to bring her positive outlook and superb customer service skills to her customers. Outside of the bank, Lauren enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and trying new restaurants. Her favorite place that she has traveled to is the Cayman Islands due to the fun environment and the clear blue water.
