Gary E. Mobbs has over 20 years of experience in finance and banking, more than a decade of which has been spent serving SouthStar Bank customers. Mobbs graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelors degree in Agriculture Economics and also graduated from the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University. One of his biggest accomplishments to date has been starting the SouthStar Bank Gonzales Branch and seeing it grow to the $60 million dollar branch it is today, he says. Gary likes to be a problem solver and find unique ways to help people. He also enjoys financing homes for first-time homebuyers. Mobbs is involved with the Gonzales Area Development Board and serves on the Board of Directors for Gonzales Youth Center. He enjoys ranching, hunting, and fishing.
