Beginning December 8, 2020 SouthStar Bank will implement enhanced logon security for consumer online banking. This logon security will periodically require users to enter a verification code from a text message or phone call in addition to existing username and password whenever potentially suspicious activity is detected. Enrollment in this enhanced security is simple, all you need to do is provide your mobile phone number when prompted during the logon process and enter the verification code received. You can also receive the verification code by phone at your home or work land line number if we already have one on file. To update or change those numbers, please contact your nearest branch. A help video is available to explain the new security features. At this time, the new security will only apply to consumer logins from the bank’s website, but the feature will be implemented for mobile app logins soon.
