Steven Bourland is a Senior Vice President of Lending at the SouthStar Bank Bee Cave branch. Steven is an alum of Oklahoma State University and has training as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He brings more than three decades of experience in the banking industry and holds strong expertise in all veins of CRE lending, C&I, SBA 504, and SBA 7a. His career spans many CRE loans funded in the Central Texas area for several commercial developers and building clients, spanning nearly all forms of commercial loans (e.g., construction, warehouse, commercial, SBA, etc.). Steven has spent the last 12 years in the Austin area, gaining a wealth of knowledge about positioning and carrying out projects for development. Between his numerous conversations with industry professionals and his strong background of experience, Steven can quickly grasp project metrics and provide sound advice and options regarding loan structure. He has enjoyed developing and building client relationships and remains thankful for his clients’ loyalties and friendships. Steven looks forward to continuing to nurture his existing relationships, creating new connections, and contributing to the bank’s goals. Outside the office, Steven enjoys playing tennis, watching Jeopardy, and singing with his wife while playing the guitar. He also dedicates his free time to Caritas of Austin.
