Bridget Brosh, Personal Banker | SouthStar Bank Moulton Bridget Brosh is a Personal Banker in the SouthStar Bank Moulton branch. She received her degree from Texas State University and has four years of banking experience, all here with SouthStar.  Bridget enjoys the fast-paced environment that banking provides, never shy to a new challenge faced and quick to adapt to the everchanging landscape of the industry. One of her career highlights is taking on IRAs and developing an intricate understanding of the product. An understanding that she now proliferates throughout the entirety of the bank, fielding questions and providing solutions and knowledge to best support her peers. Bridget views each challenge as an opportunity for growth. Outside of work, Bridget enjoys hanging out with friends and family as well as spending time outdoors.

Barbara Armstrong, Personal Banker | SouthStar Bank Hearne Barbara Armstrong is a Personal Banker at the SouthStar Bank Hearne location. She worked primarily in Property Management before joining the SouthStar Bank team one year ago. Barbara enjoys being able to assist customers and problem-solve. One of Barbara’s biggest professional accomplishments was successfully taking charge of and maintaining a billion-dollar student housing company during a 5-month transition in management. Barbara is a proud mother of two and greatly enjoys spending time with her children. Barbara spends her free time cooking, baking, and creating rustic art pieces. As an art enthusiast, one item on her bucket list is to learn how to make pottery.

Amanda Waldrop, Loan Operations Processor | SouthStar Bank Calvert Amanda Waldrop is a Loan Operations Processor at the SouthStar Bank Calvert location. She had previously worked at SouthStar Bank from 2016-2019 and was welcomed back in 2021. The two things she enjoys most about her job are her amazing coworkers and the ability to provide a helping hand to those who dream of home ownership. Amanda’s biggest professional accomplishment was starting a demolition/clean-up company with her husband. Their business had them chasing hurricanes from Rockport, Texas, to South Louisiana, providing services to those affected by the storms. They sold the business in 2021 and eventually moved back to Texas. When she is not working, Amanda spends her time traveling, camping, boating, cooking, enjoying a good cup of coffee, and spending time with friends, family, and her rescue dog, Gunner.

Allison Spence, Personal Banker | SouthStar Bank Southwest Austin Allison Spence is a Personal Banker at the SouthStar Bank Southwest Austin location. She worked in the banking industry for five years before joining the SouthStar Bank team one year ago. The one thing Allison enjoys most about her job is connecting with customers in and around her community. She also loves using her problem-solving skills to assist her customers and their needs best. One of Allison’s most significant accomplishments was gaining confidence within her Personal Banker role. She believes that her newly acquired knowledge has positively affected her personal life. In her community, Allison is involved with her local church, One Chapel Austin. She hopes to be a part of their Mission work in the future. When she is not working, Allison spends her time caring for plants, playing with her pups, and tending to her chickens. One item on her bucket list is to travel to Milan, Italy to meet family.

Aften Serrano, Portfolio Manager – SBA & Business Manager | SouthStar Bank Loan Administration Building Aften Serrano is a Portfolio Manager/ SBA & Business Manager based at the SouthStar Bank Loan Administration Building. Aften worked in banking and finance for 19 years before joining the SouthStar Bank team three years ago. She has worked in numerous positions, including Teller, Personal Banker, Banking Officer, Branch Manager, and Back Office. In her position, Aften enjoys being able to help small businesses survive and thrive, while also creating jobs in and around her community. One of Aften’s favorite professional moments was performing investigations on high-risk customers for the BSA/AML Department. In her community, Aften is a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas. Currently, the organization is working to save a cemetery on Liberty Hill from being destroyed by a large development company. When she is not working, Aften spends her time woodworking, building, and refurbishing furniture. Known for being adventurous, she has traveled to Costa Rica and hopes to walk the Great Wall of China.

Tyler Narro, Personal Banker | SouthStar Bank Hearne Tyler Narro is a Personal Banker at the SouthStar Bank Hearne location. She worked in banking and finance for nine years before joining the SouthStar Bank team five years ago. Recently, Tyler was awarded the Star Service award, which recognizes one recipient in each of the bank’s four regions for service above and beyond the expected norm. Recipients consistently demonstrate exceptional knowledge of bank products and services, as well as an intuitive understanding of clients’ needs. When she is not working, Tyler spends her time traveling to the beach with her family, taking evening walks, going to the park, and attending rock concerts with her husband.  As a beach enthusiast, Tyler’s favorite place she has traveled to is Galveston, Texas. An interesting fact about Tyler is that one of the items on her bucket list was to get married on Halloween, which she and her husband crossed off her list last year.  

Tyler Lucas, Vice President of Lending | SouthStar Bank Southwest Austin Tyler M. Lucas is a Vice President of Lending at the SouthStar Bank Southwest Austin. Tyler joined the SouthStar Bank team last year and holds over 10 years of experience in the banking and finance industry. Tyler is a graduate of Texas Tech University and Western Governors University. The one thing he most enjoys about his job is being a trusted financial advisor for his customer’s financial well-being. One of Tyler’s most significate personal accomplishments is being a first-generation college graduate. Tyler enjoys being active in several professional and community organizations. Currently, he is a member of the Dripping Springs Rotary Club and the Texas Tech Alumni Association. When he is not at the bank, Tyler loves to spend time with his family, fishing, golfing, working out on his Peloton, and watching the Texas Tech Red Raiders. Fishing enthusiast Tyler once traveled to Montana on a guided fly-fishing trip, and one day hopes to travel to Alaska to fly fish again. 

Trent Sconiers, Assistant Vice President/Portfolio Manager | SouthStar Bank Southwest Austin Trent Sconiers is a Portfolio Manager at the SouthStar Bank Southwest Austin location. He worked in banking and finance for five years before joining the SouthStar Bank team two years ago. Trent is an alumnus of Texas A&M University…Whoop! The one thing he enjoys most about his job is helping customers achieve milestones in their lives, including purchasing and building their dream homes. One of Trent’s biggest professional accomplishments was his involvement in producing over $20 million in loans last year. In his community, Trent is involved with Feeding Texas, more specifically, their Hunters for the Hungry program. The program aims to feed those in need through the donation of deer hunted by local hunters. Trent tries to donate one to two deer a year and enjoys being able to combine his passion for hunting with his desire to give back.   When he is not working, Trent spends his time listening to live music, golfing, watching college football, hunting, and enjoying the occasional craft beer. An item on his bucket list would be to attend The Masters in Augusta, Georgia. After all, he did share an elevator with Tiger Woods.

Notoria Adkins, Loan Processor | SouthStar Bank Calvert Notoria “Torie” Adkins is a Loan Processor at the SouthStar Bank Calvert Branch. She has been with the SouthStar Bank team for a year and a half. A long-time citizen of Robertson County, Torie enjoys being able to make numbers work so that others can achieve their dream of home ownership. One of Torie’s biggest professional accomplishments is coming into the banking and finance industry without prior experience and quickly acquiring the knowledge needed to perform multiple duties excellently. In her community, Torie enjoys being active in her local church, South New Hope Baptist Church, where she serves as a Youth Director. When she is not working, Torie loves to spend time with her two daughters working on arts and crafts, shopping, taking road trips, and having family movie nights. One venturous item on her bucket list is to one day take a trip to Israel.

Sche Kehner, Personal Banker | SouthStar Bank Kerrville Sche Kehner is a Personal Banker for the SouthStar Bank Kerrville branch. She has been in banking since high school and has spent the last 13 years broadening her knowledge of the banking industry and honing her interpersonal skills. Sche was a member of the Community First team before SouthStar acquired the branch in 2021. Sche greatly enjoys her conversations with customers and the relationships she can form by genuinely listening to their needs and informing them of the best products and services SouthStar can offer them. Outside of work, Sche loves to fish and hopes to one day have fished in every state across the US. She also loves to visit the coast and explore exciting new recipes. When she isn’t doing one of her many hobbies, Sche enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs, Byrd and Bailey Mae, cuddled on the couch watching action movies.
